For Kate Rang and her mother, Felicity Hays, home has always been more than just a place—it’s a feeling, a mood, a story waiting to be told. Growing up, Kate watched her mother breathe new life into forgotten furniture, transforming discarded pieces into treasures with a touch of creativity and craftsmanship.

Felicity, is a lifelong advocate for sustainable living and an expert in handcrafted décor, she instilled in Kate a deep appreciation for the beauty of well-loved objects and the art of reinvention. Kate studied a fine art degree at the University of Cambridge, after graduating she found herself being drawn into the application of art in a more practical way.

Mood Room Interiors was born from their shared passion for designing inspiring spaces that honour both the past and the present. They believe that interior decorating isn’t just about making a space look beautiful—it’s about making it feel right. Their approach is deeply personal, involving an extensive consultation process with clients that delves into color psychology, vision boards, and a client’s unique emotional connection to their surroundings. At the heart of every Mood Room Interiors project is a commitment to sustainability and storytelling. Rather than discarding old furniture, Kate and Felicity see potential in every piece.
